What are the Support Open Hours? | |
We are located in Perth, Western Australia, so our time zone is UTC +8 hours (Australian WST) Our Normal Office Hours Are: Mon to Fri - 8:00am to 6:00pm Sat and Sun - 8:00am to 10:00am Outside of these hours, we often login and attend to new Ad approvals, or Support Questions. There is no set times for this, we just do it when we are available. Note: Depending on workload at the time, Support can take up to 24 hours to reply, however, we always try to answer much quicker than 24 hours!

How do I get an Account? To register your account – Note: this is free and only takes a couple minutes. From our front (Home) page, click the ‘Register’ link (top right) and the form will open. Choose a User name, this can be your name, nickname or whatever you choose. Insert your email address. (make sure it’s a real one that you monitor, this is used for buyers to contact you about your ads) Select user type, either private person or company, just select the one that is appropriate for you. Insert your password (twice). Passwords can be letters and numbers, but no spaces or special characters. Click the Gender selection. Click the green ‘Registration’ button. You will then receive a brief email at the email address you gave, in that email, click the red ‘Activate’ button, and you will be taken to our site, with you logged into your new account. Once this is done, you can place free ads, upgrade to paid ads, or contact sellers if you are looking to buy something. |

Suspected Fraud or Disputes: | |
What Can I Do If I Suspect Fraud? If you believe you have come in contact with someone that shows fraudulent behaviour, please report them to us immediately via our Contact Us form, the link is at the bottom. We will delete the ad, and decide if we believe we need to advise Authorities. For this reason, it is important for you to consider reporting any case of fraud to the police or appropriate authority, as well as letting us know. If you have actually lost money, by the fraudulent activities, you MUST report it to appropriate authorities, with as much detail as possible. If the activity gets as far as involving your bank, or PayPal, etc. please let them know the details, as well as the authorities.
Do CookieClassifieds.com Mediate between Buyers and Sellers? ‘No’. While we understand that this could be helpful in some cases, we do not have any authority or jurisdiction to make any judgements at all, or even to advise in cases of conflict. We are only a place for people to buy and sell goods and services, we do not get involved in any of the actual transactions. CookiesClassifieds.com do not have copies of all the communication, and particularly where phone calls are involved, we do not know everything that is said. Therefore, we do not ever have enough information to mediate fairly.
If you have a conflict that is not quickly resolved, you need to seek your own legal advice or contact authorities yourself. We do not get involved, or do this for you.
What is CookieClassifieds.com responsible for? CookieClassifieds.com only provides a place online, for the public to advertise goods and services for sale, and for interested people to buy. We do not make the sales and are not involved in the contact, buying or negotiation processes:

Buyers, or just looking? | |
If you are looking for an item to buy, from our Home page, you can click on one of the Main Category icons, and browse through the ads. To go back to the Home page, just click our top Logo or the Home link next to it. You can then click another Category, to look at more ads, if that is what you would like to do?
Browsing Ads: As you scroll down through the ads, you can click on an ad title or on the image, to go to the ad details page. The Red or Green dots at the right side of each ad, only indicates if this seller is logged in to our site at this time: Green = User is Logged in, Red = User is Not here right now.
If you are interested in the item, or have questions for more details, you can contact the seller either by phone or email.
Note: You will need to Register an account, and login, to use our internal email system. After looking at an ad details, you can click your browser back button to return to where you were, or use the Home button at the top, to go back and select another category. |

Contacting Sellers or Buyers: |

How do I contact the seller?When you go to the ad details, by clicking the preview ad listing, you will be given options of: Click the orange button – to show the sellers phone number (not all sellers include a phone) Or click the blue button to contact the seller via email. These emails go through our mailing system, to the email address the seller gave to register their account. We recommend dealing via phone for small (low cost) items, as it can be much easier and quicker, but this is your choice.
How can I contact a buyer who messaged me? Normally by simply replying to the email, phone call or text message that they used to contact you. Our system allows for people to respond to ads, but from that point it’s between you and the other party. Placing Ads on CookieClassifieds.com:

How Do I Place A Free Ad? Go to our website, click the Sign In link at the top, and login to your account. Note: You can skip these first steps, and click the blue ‘Post Your Ad’ button, but you will not have a lot of success, and your ad will not be approved, so go ahead and register an account first, and then login to do your ads. Once you are logged in, click the blue ‘Post Your Ad’ button and the ad form will open. Click in the grey Category field, and select your main category from the pop-up window. This will give you a list of sub-categories to choose from, when you click the appropriate one, it will fill in the Category field. Fill in the Title field. This will be your ad Headline, so think about what will attract buyers? Fill in your asking price. Note: This is in Australian dollars, whole dollars only, you cannot put in cents. Fill in your ad description. This will be the body of your ad, so make it good, detailed and sensible for the right buyers to contact you, and hopefully buy your item. Click the green ‘Next’ button. Page 2 will open, where you can upload your item photos. Either open your file explorer and drag/drop photos into the box, or click the Browse Files button, and select the photos from your device. Up to 4 photos can be inserted. Note: Large files will fail to load, so you will have to resize or crop original photos from your Smart Phone or good quality digital camera. Click the green ‘Next’ button. The next page is where you fill in your details, for buyers to contact you. Note: You must use the email address you registered with, or your ad won’t be approved to go live on our site. For the phone number, only use numbers, no spaces or dashes. When you are a registered user, you will find most of these self-fills, so you don’t need to type every time. Click the green ‘Next’ button. On the last page, fill in your location. For Zip, fill in your postcode. For Address, you can give your full address, or just your suburb (preferred for your safety) Location – Select your 'state' from the drop-down list. For City – You have to choose the most appropriate from the drop-down list, unfortunately, we do not have every City in Australia listed, so just choose the most appropriate general area or Region. (This will actually help you, as people from the larger general area will be shown your ads if they search by location). When done, click the green “Finish” button at the bottom. You will get a message telling you what to fix, if there is a problem, but if you followed the instructions, it will tell you 'Congratulations" and your ad will go through for Admin staff to review and approve. Again, if there is a problem, such as not complying with our Ad Rules or Terms of Use, we will message you, but your ad will NOT be approved, and no-one will see it. (All ads are viewed and approved manually before going live on our site).
How Long Will My Ad be Active? For now, we have set 3 months for ads to remain active, after this, ads may be deleted without notification. However, it is in your best interest to: Remove your ads as soon as an item is sold or no longer available, so you are not being contacted for no reason Delete and renew your ads at reasonable intervals. This moves your ad back to the top of your category, for better exposure. (If your ad is several pages down in the category, you should not expect many people to see it, most people won't scroll that far.)
How Do I Edit My Ad after placing it? To change your ad after you have posted it to our site, just login to your User Dashboard. Click on the My Ads link at the top. When the page opens, find your ad that you wish to change. Click on the green pencil icon for that ad. Make your changes, by navigating through the same page sequence as when you placed your ad. On the last page, click the green ‘Finish’ button. Your ad will be sent through to Admin for approval before it is live on our site, just like when you originally posted it. If you wish to make other changes, you can select ‘Dashboard’ from the drop-down by clicking on your User Name at the top right. If you don’t wish to do anything else, please select Logout instead of Dashboard.
How Do I Delete My Ad? To Delete an ad after you have posted it to our site, just login to your User Dashboard. Click on the My Ads link at the top. When the page opens, find your ad that you wish to change. Click on the red delete icon for that ad, and your ad will be removed immediately. Note: Please delete all ads as soon as the item is sold or no-longer available.
How Can Buyers Contact Me? Anyone who sees your ad and is interested to buy or wants more details can contact you by: Phone – When someone views your ad, there is an orange button they can ‘Click to show phone number’. Once they have your phone number they can SMS or call you. Email – If you included your email address while posting the ad, they can click this, and send you an email, if they are a registerd user and logged in, or email you externally, if they are not logged in. Message – If you are logged in to our site, the person will be able to message you via our Live Message system. This works similar to FaceBook Messenger, but on our website only.
Note: We always recommend people call you, this is the quickest and easiest method of contact, so obviously we recommend that you do include your mobile phone number, whiloe posting your ads. |

Paid Ad Upgrades: | |
How Do I Upgrade My Ad for Better Exposure? One you have placed your ad as per above, the options for upgrades will be shown to you. Just click on your choice, and then click the Buy Now button. This will take you to PayPal’s secure site, where you can pay either by logging into your PayPal account, or by using your Credit/Debit card via PayPal’s system. Once your payment has gone through, you will be taken back to your account Dashboard.
Admin will be notified, and we will upgrade your ad, as soon as we can. NOTE: Payments made are Non-refundable, unless we do not accept the payment, in which case we will advise you and explain why. In this case, we will refund your paid fees. For example – if you pay for a Top Ad for 14 days, and then sell the item after only a couple days, we will NOT refund any part of the upgrade fees paid.
